Timothy Karpinski was born in Edison, USA. His artistic career began when he started painting his own skateboard decks. To this day he designs snowboards for his childhood friend Danny Krass who is now an acclaimed snowboarder. Together they run Gnu Snowboards. Timothy's cut-out style developed from making stencils for graffiti. He believes it’s in his blood. An ancient technique of paper cut evolved by the name of Wycinanki in rural Poland and Timothy’s ancestors are Polish. Reminiscent of childhood memories from your favourite bedtime stories, his illustrations are kind and gentle. Timothy refers to them as his visual diary of sorts.
